I am currently studying business management at San Francisco State University. I was a transfer student from City College of San Francisco. I choose this major because I didn't really know which path I wanted to go into. I was really into studying business because I felt I can someday be Warren Buffet or Bill Gates. By studying business, I can get a sense of what is happening in the world, the politics and the changes that are affected by business decisions. For example, I remember watching news and reading an article about Google getting pushed out of China. By studying management skills and concepts, I understand more about why Google made its decision in leaving the massive market of China. By studying business management, I will learn the necessary skills and concepts in management and someday lead me to become a manger. I also believed by studying management, its a way to better understand ourselves and people around us and build a good skill on empowering others and leading a team of people into a right path where it can provide benefits to the company. We also learn to connect with people from different cultures and think about how to negotiate with others around the world.
What I really wanted to do is yo study abroad in China and learn about its management style and perspective. Since I am bilingual in both English and Chinese, I have an better opportunity for myself to start my career in China. Even if there is not an opportunity in finding a job I would really like to use the skills I learned through these years of studying business management to start my own business in China and hope one day become a successful business man!
